Elsevier's Account Support Department, located in Amsterdam, provides support to Elsevier's sales force and customers all over the world.

As an Account Support Coordinator you are a member of the Account Support Team, working within a multi-functional Regional Team. The ASC delivers process excellence & data quality in contract order management and supports timely sales performance (managing the delivery of the monthly pipeline & commits). The ASC furthermore supports the account engagement model, freeing up time for sales customer engagement and supports SOX & Elsevier business model compliance.

What are you going to do?

Overall, you support Account Managers, Solution Managers and Customer Consultants in the entire sales process. This includes the responsibility for contract execution (creating, extending, adjusting), gather and analyze usage reports and other pre-sales call-analysis and being the central point of contact for customers and your sales team towards internal partners. Also you will contact customers about their renewals and follow up on details required to complete the sales process. You will report to the Account Support Team Manager.

 

What are we asking from you?

You need 2 – 3 years of working experience in a target-driven environment. Next to that, you need to have excellent Excel skills. In this role good communication skills are key. You will need to know how to communicate on different levels but also to see if the question that is asked, is the real question the customers requires an answer to. It is important that you can stand your ground and to make sure that the working process is followed. If you worked with Siebel or CRM, that’s great but not necessary. Your English needs to be fluent because you’re going to work in an international environment and support English speaking customers.
