The 85 Watt MagSafe Power Adapter features a magnetic DC plug that causes the power cable to disconnect when too much pressure is applied. It also helps prevent the cable from wearing or fraying over time. In addition, the magnetic DC connector pulls the plug to the right place, so that a good connection is quickly established.
