Mannol Energy Combi LL 5W-30 is rated best in a consumer magazine
Good oil for the engine does not need to be expensive: A total of 13 motor oils were tested by the German car magazine "Auto Motor und Sport". MANNOL Combi LL is the test winner. "Auto Motor und Sport" tested several 5W-30 low-viscosity oils priced from from 6.31 to 19 euros a Liter. They test was performed by VW standard 507 00 which is required for many of VW's TDI engines. Some of the test oils came close to the quality of the Castrol oil, but did cost only a fraction. Almost equivalent is the Energy Combi LL from MANNOL, which has an even better viscosity than the Castrol, but costs only 6,99 euro per liter at the retailer. "Best in the oil viscosity it works well especially in cold weather. The additive package is convincing. Only minus: The label is not clear about the VW approvel, although MANNOL Energy Combi LL possess the VW approval. "
