For sales is our nice 8.5m French built Dufour 2800 - A boat deemed too sexy for the British when it came to market. Boat is 8.5 long x 2.98 wide x 1.5 deep from 1978
We have sailed this boat around the Ijsselmeer and Markermeer for the last few years, stopping at beautiful spots like Enkhuizen, Hoorn, Marker Wadden, Urk, Medemblik etc and also motoring through Holland from Amsterdam to Rotterdam. It is a nice boat, small enough to steer easily but larger enough to be comfortable on it for weekends or weeks away.
Boat sleeps 5 - two in the V birth with 190 length, and three singles in the main cabin. The main cabin is 180 high and there is a full size dining table inside and kitchenette with two-burner gas stove, sink and ice-box (not electric) and plenty of storage. Underwater toilet (we used a portable toilet) situated across from beautiful bright red sink. There is a 100L water bladder which is foot powered in the kitchen and bathroom. Being a French boat, there is also a baguette storage cupboard!
Cockpit can easily seat 6, has nice teak seating and comes with a table. Sails are ok, headsail is a furler, action photos sailing are from September 2020, and there is a swimming ladder off the back, sprayhood and dodgers too. The deck is large enough up front that we took a SUP with us most of the time so we could anchor when possible and paddle ashore. Underwater done two seasons ago and washed by snorkel and mask throughout last season.
Engine is a Volvo Penta MD7A diesel and is a great motor and has even taken us through the Netherlands in via the Standing Mast route once, serviced annually at start of season but not yet this year due to our newborn arriving in April which is the reason we are selling the boat - we will move to a motor cruiser for the rivers until he is older (definitely less fun, but more comfortable for us at this point.)
Boat comes with all equipment on it, pots and pans, glasses and cups, tools, fenders, lifeline netting, additional tiller extension, two extra sails and planks and pillows to turn the main cabin into a giant king size bed if you need.
