Elizabethan 33 Zeilboot

7.500 EUR

Builder: Originally Peter Webster Ltd., Lymington, then later byG. Drummond-Bayne Marine, Southampton, UK. The Elizabethan 33 is a traditional long-keeled cruising yacht, one of many now classic long-keel designs from the 1960s/70s. This one build in 1978.

The Elizabethan 33 has a solid GRP hull using woven rovings, with a bolt-on external iron ballast keel. The deck and cockpit moulding are also GRP, with balsa cores in horizontal areas, replaced with ply core in stress areas for fitting. Like almost all GRP boats of this era, the hull mouldings are much more heavily built than modern production yachts.

The folded saloon table drops to berth level, and with the port settee backrest raised forms a double berth if required. All berths are 6' 3" long, except the quarter berth aft of the chart table, which is a foot shorter, and really a child's berth.

The saloon has a smooth moulded GRP headlining,
and the floorboards are laid with thick teak and holly strips.

There is some osmoses which needs attention every so many years, but nothing critical or out of the ordinairy here for yachts this age.

She is now located at Oostwatering Veere, Zeeland, The Netherlands in a dry dock until spring!
