Honda CB650c

500 EUR

Clean and neat all original Honda CB650c.
SOHC air-cooled straight four.
"c" stands for custom trim and its only difference is the bobber stance with lowered rear shocks and extended fork. If you want the geometry of the frame to be parallel to the ground – you can lower the fork manually and replace the shocks.
Doesn't currently run. Needs some love and time. I managed to push-start it when buying and rode it for ~15 minutes around a small town. Can't say it was a flawless ride – most concerns were around the braking (calipers would get stuck) and carbs (it was obvious carbs need attention and it would stall on idle).
Bought this from the original owner about a year ago and was planning a little resto/custom project, but time and finances did not allow.
DID NOT DO ANY CUTTING OR CUSTOMIZING! Just cleaned the carbs, cleaned the tank (then dried and filled to the top with fresh gas), replaced the battery and was planning to work on the brakes, but didn't get too far. I didn't touch the engine either, but I suspect it's time to put a new gasket on, can't say for sure.
The motorcycle was kept in the garage both by me and the previous owner, hence the amazing state it's in.
Needs following works:
- starter clutch replacement;
- brake calipers need rebuilding (or new calipers), disks are fine;
- brake lines;
- fuel lines;
- new carb boots (old rubber wears off over the years);
- carb sync and adjustment;
- new sprokets & new chain;
- solder one of the battery terminals (broke off, can be clamped to the battery, but I would not advise riding like that);
- new electrical wires here and there.
The above works will get you on the road (to my best knowledge of the state this machine is in). Get rid of this ridiculous wheel barrel and you've got yourself a daily driver.
Has:
- new battery (07/2018);
- all electronics work;
- starter is working (it's the starter clutch that's slipping);
- mostly original as far as I can tell;
- tank is original, but has been repainted and sealed by the previous owner;
- original SIDE COVERS with model name and CHROME COVERS for airbox (not in the picture, very good condition).
Bonus:
- I got a brand new technical book on this model, so no guessing work on how to assemble/disassemble. Super detailed with pictures.
