Zoku, which is Japanese for family, tribe or clan, facilitates global living and working for the traveling professional. Zoku is a new category in the hotel industry: a flexible home/office hybrid, also suitable for long stays, with the services of a hotel and the social buzz of a thriving neighbourhood. You can live, work, relax and socialize with like-minded people – while getting wired into the city.

WHAT THE MAINTENANCE?

Are you a handy(wo)man who loves to take care of a smooth-running building and gets a kick out of solving (tricky) operational puzzles? Then keep reading!

As our  Maintenance you are responsible for the smooth-running of the entire building (its resources and the building itself). You handle all internal repairs and carry out preventive maintenance yourself.  You coordinate repairs in more specialised areas with external parties, by managing the entire process from contracting, requesting, reviewing quotes and following up on the process. We are looking to fill the position on a part or full-time basis (24-40 hours per week). You will report to the General Manager.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

No day looks the same as a Maintenance, but here is a glimpse of what you can expect:

Smooth operations
You are very hands on and actively keep control over the maintenance plan to keep the building in its best shape. Addtionally, you coordinate maintenance tasks executed by external parties by assigning tasks, giving instructions and auditing work on quality and progress.

Troubleshooter
You act as the troubleshooter in case of issues arising throughout your day, this can range from executing common repairs, installing equipment and hardware, sanitary facilities, lightning, door mechanics, paintwork etc.

Administration
In our Building Management System and Maintenance program you record and manage all repairs. Finally, you monitor equipment/supplies and request purchasing orders if necessary.

A day in the life

Handling incidental repairs - 40%
Assisting and checking repairs handled by external parties - 20%
Taking action upon arising issues from internal departments/guests - 20%
Administration tasks - 20%

A FEW MUST HAVES...

You have a min. of 2 years' experience in a similar position.
You are fluent in English, other languages are a plus.
You are an EU resident or have a valid Dutch working permit.
