HA Cluster which previously ran a microk8s kubernetes cluster for me flawlessly for almost 3 years. I have upgrade this cluster to an RPI5 Cluster and therefore no longer need this redundant hardware.
Included in the package
- 4 x RPI4 model B boards with 4GB RAM each
- 4 x 128gb USB3 SSD's (primary boot device and storage)
- 4 x 32GB Extreme Pro MMC cards (backup boot device)
- 1 x 5 port 1Gb switch (runs off 5v USB)
- 1 x 5 port USB high power bank (runs all 4 nodes plus the network switch to simplify cabling)
- 4 x angled network patch cables
- 4 x USB angled and braided cables
You need one network cable for uplink to your main switch/router and one power cable for the 5 port USB power supply (yes this is included but not pictured) This is a stable setup with no issues and ran a moderate workload load for almost 3 years (about 60+ pods). I upgraded only because i ran out of RAM for more workloads and wanted a little bit faster storage. All MMC and SSD's will be wiped/zero'd before shipping so you will need to flash and setup yourself. Firmware is updated and configured to support a boot configuration as follows: 1) USB boot first (ssd)
2) If that fails or device is not present, it will boot from MMC SD
