Omschrijving
Deze nieuwe Sweex Ethernet LAN PCI 2.2 netwerkkaarten geschikt voor de zognaamde PCI sloten van het type 5V 32-bit en deze zijn ook te gebruiken in 5V 64-bit PCI sloten. De PCI sloten (Peripheral Component Interconnect) zijn de meestal wit /creme gekleurde insteeksloten en dit zijn de meest voorkomende oudere (legacy) insteeksloten van PC computer systemen, Servers en Workstations. Men kan PCI sloten dan ook in de meeste computersystemen waarbij nieuwe moederborden geen of een enkele PCI slot hebben tot oude moederborden waar minimaal 6 PCI sloten zijn aangebracht. Deze Sweex LC001 interne newerkadapter / netwerkkaart is voorzien van een veel voorkomende PCI interface en de key / inkeping op de kaart interface zorgt ervoor dat de PCI kaart alleen in het juiste slot geplaast kan worden. De Sweex netwerk adapter is geschikt voor een betrouwbaar bedraad netwerk LAN Ethernet (Local Area Network) WAN (Wide Area Network)en niet voor een WIFI draadloos Wireless Netwerk. The Realtek RTL8139D(L) is a highly integrated and cost-effective single-chip Fast Ethernet controller. Providing a highly flexible multi-function mode (Realtek patent pending), the new chip is able to support a versatile combination of applications. Furthermore, the RTL8139D(L) is equipped with a PCI and Boot ROM share interface (Realtek patent pending) for both EPROM and Flash Memory to provide maximum network security and ease of management.
The RTL8139D(L) offers an ACPI (Advanced Configuration Power Interface) management function to provide efficient power management for advanced operating systems with OSPM (Operating System Directed Power Management).
